COVID-19 updates:

Dear participants,

Unfortunately, after one year of pandemic with various movement and sanitary restrictions around the world and after the start of the vaccination campaign in many countries around the world, COVID-19 is still among us and significantly affects our daily activities and even the mid-term planning of our activities.

With that in mind, the TTP.10 Organising Committee has made the decision to reschedule the meeting from August 2021 to August 2022.

The decision to postpone TTP.10 was a difficult one and optimistically delayed as much as possible. We know how much our community values the opportunity to meet, network and discuss important issues around a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Many countries and institutions have already announced travel restrictions for the entire 2021. These considerations have led to the conclusion that it would be unwise to plan an international event at all this year.

We are very hopeful that we can return to the usual meeting schedule in 2022 and host the  10th Tick and Tick Borne Pathogen Conference  at the same venue in the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve.

The Tick and Tick-Borne Pathogen Conference is the biggest scientific event in the field and is organized every 3 years. We are pleased to host the 10th Tick and Tick Borne Pathogen Conference in one of the most well-preserved wetland in the world, the unique landscape Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve.

The targed audience include: researchers in the field of ticks and tick-borne diseases of humans and animals, epidemiologists, medical doctors, immunologists, veterinarians, biologists, ecologists, etc.

The conference will be held at Puflene Resort in Murighiol, Danube Delta, Romania between 22 and 26 August 2022 and is organized by the Department of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca, Romania in collaboration with the Danube Delta Research Institute in Tulcea.

The scientific topics cover:

  • Taxonomy and evolution

  • Genetics and genomics

  • Ecology and epidemiology

  • Spatial modelling

  • Diagnosis and treatment

  • Immunity and vaccines

  • Infection and pathogenesis

During TTP10, Special Symposia and Special Events will be organized as well.

We have a list of fabulous Keynote and Plenary speakers! Please check it!

In addition to the technical program, various other social activities are organized: birdwatching and sightseeing, boat trips, photo contests, fishing contest etc.

During one of the plenary sessions, a new network will be announced: The Tick Mitochondrial Genome Network!
